HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Pigpen emerged from a dusty barn in Cranbrook. From the barn came dark manipulations of fairytale, modern tragedies and absurd twists on the ordinary.

A STY FOR THE NEW
Pigpen is a company that cherishes the new, the strange and the unheard. For four consecutive years, the company has moulded productions built upon original writing.

The first of which was 'Los Tres Cerditos' which ran in Camden and got the company recognised. Kate Copstick, famous Fringe critic for the Scotsman wrote that Pigpen's work is:

"Cruel. Crazy. Extraordinary.
Absolutely everything great theatre should be".

THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL
The success in London paved the way for future successes in Edinburgh at the largest arts festival in the world. Pigpen produced 'The Transfiguration of Mrs Lamen', a fly on the wall look at an alcoholic, aging dame.
The following year the company put on 'Deuteronomy'; an unabashedly absurdist piece of theatre. The play received multiple strong reviews and award nominations

FROM THE STAGE TO THE SCREEN
Pigpen have since expanded the sty from the stage to the screen. From live action to animation, the company is not short of its signature style.

Originality remains at the heart of Pigpen's vision for the moving image; scores are made anew for each project.
